OTTAWA -- Critics attacked the federal government Friday for stalling a contentious human rights bill after it was overhauled by opposition MPs to reflect widespread native concern.

"This bill would give First Nations people full rights protection under the Human Rights Act," said Liberal native affairs critic Anita Neville.

Teacher of Native Children additional qualification course available online from Lakehead U

Lakehead University’s Faculty of Education is offering a new Additional Qualification course this Spring-Summer.

Teacher of Native Children was created to support provincial and regional initiatives aimed at assisting teachers to better meet the educational needs of Aboriginal children in their schools.

The course will run from May 5 to July 25 and will be delivered through a combination of online learning, five videoconferences, and a culminating practical activity to be completed in July.
