On Friday, October 15, 2010, representatives of the signatories to the Four Party Agreement arrived in Sioux Lookout to join a large crowd celebrating a festive Grand Opening ceremony of the new Sioux Lookout Meno Ya Win Health Centre!
Keewaytinook Okimakanak hosted Greg Rickford, MP for Kenora, on Friday, Oct 15 for the announcement of a $929,000 investment in upgrading the headend sites in each of the 14 satellite served First Nations in Northwestern Ontario.

SIOUX LOOKOUT, ONTARIO-(Oct. 15, 2010) - Aboriginal people in Ontario are set to benefit from projects funded by the Government of Canada that will help them get the skills they need to find and keep jobs. Mr. Greg Rickford, Member of Parliament for Kenora, made the announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Diane Finley, Minister of Human Resources and Skills Development.
Five Chiefs and one proxy gathered in Thunder Bay this week to discuss First Nation issues and concerns affecting their communities and organization.
Guest, Grand Chief Stan Beardy of Nishnawbe Aski Nation joined the chiefs to brief them on the fibre optic network construction across the region and Bill 191.
