EDMONTON - Controversy is brewing over a city-sponsored anti-racism campaign that calls on Caucasians to recognize their "white privilege".
At least one Edmonton city councillor says the campaign makes a point, while a Conservative politician is saying the wording is all wrong.

BRACEBRIDGE, ONTARIO, November 6, 2010 — The Honourable Tony Clement, Minister of Industry, today announced details of the third round of projects conditionally approved for funding through the Broadband Canada: Connecting Rural Canadians program. These 21 latest projects will soon connect 30 184 households in four provinces and one territory to broadband Internet networks.
As the research team enters the final stages in the production of this research report, a summary of recent developments and an invitation to contribute to the process is being extended to everyone.
It is interesting to note that there is very little reference to the cost to monitor and archive all the information that this legislation is demanding that Internet Service Providers collect. Once again the government is introducing legislation without the funding that will be required to support the implementation of these laws. As well, the issue around privacy and secure circuits for health and other legitimate business operations is now being challenged by this proposed legisalation.
