Volunteers join search for teen
October 31, 2007

The search for missing Grade 9 student Reggie Bushie has broadened to include a volunteer search party and an OPP diving team.

The 15-year-old was last seen with a group of fellow teens on Friday night at the banks of the McIntyre River near May Street.

KO Telemedicine participates in COO Public Health Project launch & meetings

KO Telemedicine attended a two-day workshop in Toronto hosted by Chief’s of Ontario to discuss the formation of a First Nations Public Health Advisory Committee (FNPHAC).

The goals of this committee are to address the lack of adequate public health services in First Nations communities and to leverage Provincial and Federal resources to coordinate public health services on-reserve.  FNPHAC will also complete a Public Health Framework for First Nation in Ontario.

The Assembly of First Nations and the AFN Youth Council are pleased to announce the names of nine First Nations youth essay writers who have won an all-expense paid trip to the 3rd First Nations National Youth Summit, being held in Winnipeg, October 30 to November 1, 2007.
