Volunteers join search for teen
October 31, 2007

The search for missing Grade 9 student Reggie Bushie has broadened to include a volunteer search party and an OPP diving team.

The 15-year-old was last seen with a group of fellow teens on Friday night at the banks of the McIntyre River near May Street.

On Wednesday an OPP dive team began an underwater search of the river near the May Street bridge. The murky waters hindered the divers‘ work, but the search continues whenever conditions permit.

Meanwhile, the Northern Nishnawbe Education Council is gathering volunteers for a foot search of the land around the river.

Anyone with information on Bushie‘s whereabouts should contact Thunder Bay Police at 684-1251.
