Keewaywin First Nation Ice fishing Derby - February 27, 2010

Tentatively, on February 27, 2010 from 10am - 4pm, Keewaywin will be hosting its first Ice fishing derby. For more information, interested individuals can email me at k2wfishderby@knet.ca. the webpage is in development and hopefully it will be available by the end of January.

Note: this derby will  be all cash prize

ONTARIO - Aboriginal Team Ontario has extended the deadline for applications for team staff for the 2010 National Aboriginal Hockey Championships to take place in Ottawa, Ontario, in April 2010.

As part of Ontario's continued efforts to enhance cooperation, and to build strong relationships with Aboriginal people based on mutual respect, Premier Dalton McGuinty has asked the Government of Canada to reconsider its position on the United Nations' Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
