Winnipeg, Feb. 25 - With the sunset date for the Aboriginal Diabetes Initiative (ADI) rapidly approaching, the government has yet to confirm whether or not funding will continue after March 31st.
The ADI provides critical funding for community-led diabetes prevention and management programs and services to over 600 Aboriginal communities across Canada, where diabetes has reached epidemic levels.
Ontario Native Women's Association, in partnership with PARO Women's Business Centre is proud to host the "Dream It! Do it" Aboriginal Women's Economic Development Forum.
The one-day forum will be held March 8th, 2010 in Thunder Bay at the Prince Arthur Hotel. The forum is to assist and empower Aboriginal Women and youth to become Entrepreneurs. If a member within your community is interested in operating their own business, this forum will provide them with:

Health Canada handed out millions of dollars to a national eHealth agency without properly accounting for how the money was spent, a new audit says.
Peguin Books has given two autographed copies of Joseph Boyden’s Three Day Road and his latest Through Black Spruce.
These books will be auctioned off on E-Bay and the proceeds will be applied to the charitable number of KO.
Boyden won the Giller Prize for fiction last year for Through Black Spruce.
He is Metis and he teaches creative writing in New Orleans. He spends time with his relations canoeing, hunting and fishing in Northeastern Ontario.
