The Conference is scheduled to take place March 24th, 25th & 26th in Thunder Bay, Ontario. The Conference will be held at the Best Western N'or Westor Resort.

Changes Navigable Waterways Protection Act threatening First Nations and their way of life

The Navigable Waterways Protection Act proposed amendments are still bundled within the recent budget. It appears that Parliament and our MPs will be voting to accept this budget act this week and along with it, the proposed changes to t eh NWPA.

A team of researchers working out of Simon Fraser University is now completing its first year of a five year research initiative that will hopefully lead to a better understanding about the impact of broadband internet access in rural and remotes communities.
