AFN National Chief Joins Premiers in Call for Action Plan on Closing the Socio-economic Gap for First Nations
QUEBEC, July 16 - Assembly of First Nations National Chief Phil Fontaine today issued the following statement following a meeting with the Council of the Federation in Quebec City.
"Today I joined the Premiers at the table to discuss ways to move forward in the reconciliation process and close the socio-economic gap between First Nations peoples and all Canadians, particularly for our children.
