QUEBEC - First Nations Grand Chief Phil Fontaine called on Canadian premiers Monday to commit funding to improve the socio-economic conditions of aboriginal nations.
The call follows last month's residential-schools apology.
With this logic, anyone who use to live in any other community in Canada should be eligible to decide how that community should be managed ...

THUNDER BAY, ON, July 14 /CNW/ - Nishnawbe Aski Nation (NAN) Grand Chief Stan Beardy is encouraged that new mining development in the Far North Boreal region will require early consultation and accommodation with local Aboriginal communities under the Government of Ontario's Far North Planning initiative announced today.
