A research bureau at Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) is calling for Aboriginal photographers to submit photos depicting living conditions in First Nations and Inuit communities.

First Nation schools across Ontario are invited to register their Grade 7 and Grade 8 classes in this year's online supplementary courses that will begin October 8.

Melting of Arctic sea ice shatters record
September 21, 2007

Arctic sea ice has shrunk to its lowest levels since record keeping began nearly 30 years ago, reaching a minimum area last weekend that was over a million square kilometres less than the previous low, scientists said Thursday.

On Thursday, Sept 20, three members of the Kuhkenah Network team (K-Net) along with John Lyon of Lyon Wireless Inc, visited Keewaywin and North Caribou Lake First Nations. Click here to see some photos from the trip.

Telehealth is closer to becoming available to First Nations is Canada as a result of the recent announcement by Canada Health Inforway (CHI) to fund the development and implementation of Telehealth/Telemedicine in First Nations communities provided they are integrated with provincial networks.
