Anishinabek blueprint takes aim at poverty

PARRY SOUND - The Anishinabek Nation yesterday unveiled an economic plan designed to support Grand Council Chief John Beaucage's pre-election pledge to eradicate poverty among the 42 member communities within the next 20 years.

TORONTO, April 25 /CNW/ - First Nation leaders, First Nation citizens and supporters held a Unity Rally for the jailed Kitchenuhmaykoosib Inninuwug (KI) leaders and the KI community on April 23, 2008 at Queen's Park. "This Rally was organized at the request of the Chiefs in Ontario to show our support for the KI 6 and for the people of KI" said Ontario Regional Chief Angus Toulouse.
