Neskantaga First Nation will be holding a Summer Festival and Baseball Tournament on the dates of August 28th to September 1st, 2001. This years festival will have square dancing, live entertainment, daily activities, etc. Come out and have some fun in our festival, and cheer for our local and out of town teams. As of today (Aug 13th, 2001) the huge group of people from Pikangikum will be close to getting into Winnipeg. To be exact, they will be 20kms out of Winnipeg. The long journey started on the 25th of July and they will be arriving 4 days earlier than planned. To date there are about 180 people from Pikangikum participating in the walk and numerous other people from other communities as well.
