• Knowledge of First Nations and Aboriginal culture is required
• Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently
• Must have a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
The army is sending a company of soldiers into KI territory next week along with teams of Canadian Rangers from the north. As well, even more soldiers and equipment will get to travel to California for other exercises. These recruitment and exploration strategies continue to encourage young people from poor regions across Canada to leave their communities creating a hope for something different for recruits. At least the army does not seem to be short of money as the rest of the country's economy continues its downward slide.

THUNDER BAY, ON, Feb. 25 /CNW/ - Nishnawbe Aski Nation (NAN) Grand Chief Stan Beardy fears impending changes to the Navigable Waterways Protection Act (NWPA) under consideration by the Government of Canada threatens First Nations who have relied upon navigable waterways to sustain their livelihood for centuries.
As part of our regional economic plan and developing good governance in our communities, the Matawa First Nations will be co-hosting a conference with the Nishnawbe-Aski Development Fund on Governance and Economic Development.

The Navigable Waterways Protection Act proposed amendments are still bundled within the recent budget. It appears that Parliament and our MPs will be voting to accept this budget act this week and along with it, the proposed changes to t eh NWPA.
