Stan Beardy is the new Regional Chief of the Chiefs of Ontario organization
June 27, 2012 - 10:05am | by brianbeatonStan Beardy, the longstanding Grand Chief of Nishnawbe Aski Nation and former chief of Muskrat Dam First Nation won the majority of the votes for the Chiefs of Ontario Regional Chief position.
Stan Beardy obtained the support of 59 Chiefs in the second round of voting.
He will be replacing Angus Toulouse, the former chief of Sagamok First Nation, as the Regional Chief for COO.
