The Harper government is quietly setting the stage for a landmark move that could pump millions of dollars worth of investment into reserves across the country and mark a change in the relationship between Ottawa and Canada's First Nations, iPolitics has learned.

First Nation economic independence struggle and debate from an urban perspective

NOTE: It is interesting to see these "writers" who make their living taking hand outs from First Nation governments and other groups critizing others who live in poverty and who struggle to create opportunities in third world conditions. It would be interesting for "researchers" and writers to document the billions in hand outs that urban-based corporations and institutions get in the form of tax cuts and grants. But then it might be tough to be biting the hand that feeds them.
