VideoCom researchers and co-authors participated in the panel on ICT in First Nations at the annual Canadian Communication Association (CCA) conference in Fredericton in June. 

Kerri Gibson, Jason Woodman Simmonds and Susan O'Donnell made presentations based on their VideoCom research, and Rob McMahon presented from the First Mile research.

A progress update on the Growth Plan for Northern Ontario, 2011 sent on behalf of Cal McDonald, Assistant Deputy Minister, Ministry of Northern Development, Mines and Forestry and Victor Severino, A/Assistant Deputy Minister, Ministry of Infrastructure.
