PARO invites applications for the following three (3) positions:
Project Administrator:You will participate in the development and delivery of a comprehensive women-centred business and job development social enterprise in support of PARO’s mission to provide programs and services designed to increase the economic independence and self-sufficiency of women and their families.
With Post Secondary Education in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field, you have human resources, project and financial management skills, evaluation, and reporting skills. You are a team player, self-motivated and flexible, with advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office and database development.
Administrative Assistant:The Administrative Assistant supports the Executive Director by coordinating activities associated with PARO programs ensuring the efficient and effective operation of the office by working cooperatively with the Management Team to maintain essential systems and office functions. Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Administrative Assistant manages office procedures and other tasks as assigned by the Executive Director. The Administrative Assistant is responsible for the coordination and fulfillment of all administrative duties including but not limited to receiving and distributing all incoming and outgoing correspondence and deliveries, preparing correspondence, creating and/or editing various documents using Microsoft Office software, maintain hard copy and electronic filing system, may conduct research, compile data, prepare for and attend meetings to record minutes and make travel arrangements as directed by the Executive Director. With Post Secondary Education in a related field, you have:· Proven knowledge of principles and practices of organization, planning, records management and general administration including the use of office equipment· Demonstrated effectiveness in time management, multi-tasking and attention to detail· Able to work independently on projects and also collaborate as a strong team member· Innovation and creativity in the form of continuous improvement to internal processes· Ability to speak French and/or Ojibway is a definite asset
Program Development Intern:The Program Development Intern will work with the Executive Director and other staff to enhance PARO programming to help reduce barriers to women working to achieve sustainable livelihoods through self-employment, employment, and training
The Program Development Intern will provide administrative duties including:· assisting in the preparation of proposals and reports· reception and general clerical work· assisting in the management of PARO’s Social Purpose Enterprise, PARO Presents.
This position is funded by Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration through the Summer Experience Program. Individuals are eligible to apply for Summer Experience Program (SEP) positions if they are:
- 15 to 24 years old (up to 29 if you are a person with a disability) on the first day of employment
- A permanent resident of Ontario
- eligible to work in Canada
