                                     Health Secretary

The Health Secretary will be directly responsible to the Director of Health Services.

To do the administrative duties of the health programs administered by KO as directed by the Director of Health Services and/or Health Programs Assistant.

 

 

Duties of the health secretary are as follows:

 To do all filing faxing, photocopying and typing for the health department.

 To make all travel arrangements for the KO community clients and department staff.

 To create and maintain a health resource library

 To organize and prepare for the health department meetings and workshops in advance

 To attend health meetings: record and distribute minute

 To take and record messages for the health personnel.

 To update the Director of Health Service's daily planner.

 To receive and record all health department staff and community workers timesheets and submit to payroll.

 To be responsible for health department purchase orders.

 Other duties as required

Qualifications:

 Several year experience in office support

 Ability to use computer programs such as WordPerfect/Word, Microsoft, Excel.

Ability to work in a team environment.

 Knowledge of Keewaytinook Okimakanak First Nations communities.

 Knowledge of health care services would be an asset.

 Aboriginal language

 Valid driver's license.
