Deer Lake school burns to the ground

An early morning fire on Monday, Feb 16, quickly engulfed the entire school in Deer Lake. The school building accommodated K-8 classes along with the Wahsa and KiHS programs and the education administration. Very little could be saved as the fire raced throughout the entire building.
