First Nations ensured by INAC of another year of funding for Wahsa Distance Education Centre
LETTER TO THE CHIEFS OF THE SIOUX LOOKOUT AREA FIRST NATIONS

Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) visited Wahsa Distance Education Centre on April 12 to 16, 2010 and gathered data for the purposes of undertaking in-depth review of the alternative secondary education programming for Wahsa.
In the letter dated April 30,2010 to Northern Nishnawbe Education Council, Indian and Northern Affairs Canada stated that the funding arrangement for 2010/11 would not be changed from the original 2009 Wahsa Nominal Roll Submission.
Indian and Northern Affairs Canada will continue to review the data gathered and once the detailed review is completed a meeting will be scheduled with NNEC to discuss their findings and develop a plan for future data collection and resourcing.
