With the re-launch of the Raising the Children web site at
everyone joining the online Native Parenting group will now have access to the entire Facilitator Training Manual at no cost. All that is asked of members of the Raising the Children group is that they work with other members sharing their experiences and stories, as well as working together to identify additional Native Parenting resources that can expand the scope of the manual. The hope is to help the Raising the Children program to grow to address additional issues and challenges facing all First Nation parents as they work to raise their children in the best way possible.
A central part of the re-launch of the Raising the Children web site was the honouring of its own and author, the late Lorraine Kenny-Beaton. Garnet Angeconeb worked with Florence Woolner and other event coordinators to make this event a special tribute to Lorraine and her work with her family, her community and First Nations across the country.
EVERYONE is invited to join this online community of people working together to find ways to raise our children in the best way possible.
