The Community Information Database (CID) Team is pleased to announce that tutorials on how to use the CID are now available at:
http://www.cid-bdc.ca/english/resources/tutorials.html
These tutorials will help you learn:
· how to use, print, and export CID maps, tables, and graphs;
· how to access and download data about communities;
· how to obtain a community or regional profile;
· and much more
The Community Information Database is a free Internet-based tool that provides consistent and reliable social, economic and demographic data for all communities and regions across Canada.
The CID contains over 700 indicators available for 1996, 2001 and 2006 – one of the largest dataset in Canada.
The CID was developed by the Rural Secretariat in collaboration with provincial, territorial and community partners. It is part of the Government of Canada’s ongoing support to rural and remote communities.
We would welcome your comments on the CID. We would be particularly interested in hearing about examples of how the CID is useful to you. Please send an email to: cid-bdc@agr.gc.ca
