Funding for Recreation Infrastructure

Eleven First Nation communities in the Kenora Riding are getting recreation infrastructure funding from the Federal and Provincial Governments.
Kenora MP Greg Rickford says in all, communities across the riding will share over $8.4-million.
Sioux Lookout has received $333,333 to upgrade the Arena as well as other funds to improve the Sioux Mountain Soccer Park, the Cedar Bay complex, 3rd Avenue Ball Diamonds, 7th Avenue Playground, the Tennis Court and Skateboard Park.
Rickford is expected to announce funding to light the Sandy Beach Ball Diamond in Dryden Monday afternoon.
The project was submitted under the RINK fund.
