The Gil Cardinal Playlist “The Aboriginal Voice” featured this week on NFB.ca

In honour of National Aboriginal Day in Canada, NFB.ca will be featuring Gil Cardinal’s playlist, The Aboriginal Voice: The National Film Board and Aboriginal Filmmaking through the Years, in the online Screening Room.Also playing this week are The Hunger, Peter Foldès’s animated short about one man’s descent into greed and gluttony; My Urban Garden, a short documentary about a Halifax woman who grows a mouth-watering crop in her backyard plot; Mindscape, Jacques Drouin’s animated short in which an artist steps into his own painting and explores his surroundings; and If You Love This Planet, Terre Nash’s Oscar-winning short about nuclear critic Dr. Helen Caldicott and a lecture she gave to students in the early 1980s.
