Local Tribal Council Announces All Star Line Up of Conference Speakers

Thunder Bay, ON – (Friday, March 27th, 2009) - Matawa First Nations Tribal Council is proud to announce the Keynote Speakers of the First Annual Governance and Economic Development Conference to be held at the Valhalla Inn March 31st and April 1st, 2009. With an all-star lineup of guest speakers and performing acts, the conference aims to please a variety of audiences – especially youth!

Keynote Speakers & Performing Acts include:

  • One of the most prolific First Nations actors working today, Adam Beach – Famous for his roles in Flags of Our Fathers, Law & Order, Third Watch & Jag
  • · Assembly of First Nations, National Chief, Phil Fontaine
  • Top Canadian Comedian, DerRic Starlight
