In 2007 the Government of Canada selected Adaptive Phased Management as Canada’s approach for the safe and secure containment and isolation of used nuclear fuel in a deep geological repository. Ongoing public involvement and a collaborative approach are key in the implementation of Adaptive Phased Management as the Nuclear Waste Management Organization begins its work on this important Canadian initiative.
