Manager, KOTM Operations - Full Time Position

The Manager, KO Telemedicine Operations ensures organizational effectiveness by managing the KO Telemedicine operational infrastructure and overseeing day-to-day operations.  The Manager, KOTM Operations is responsible for supervising operations staff, generating activity reports, ensuring compliance with Federal and Provincial regulation, and ensuring quality control of all KOTM services.  The Manager, KOTM Operations liaises with partners, including Keewaytinook Okimakanak, Sioux Lookout First Nations Health Authority, K-Net, and the Ontario Telemedicine Network to align policies and processes.

 

In addition, the Manager, KOTM Operations will work with the Regional Telemedicine Coordinator, the Regional Medical Director, the Program Manager and all operations staff to ensure quality Telemedicine service delivery in First Nations communities by supporting policy and procedures development and quality assurance standards for the Telemedicine program.

 

The ideal Candidate will possess:

  • Degree in Business Administration or Health Services
  • Experience with First Nation health care service and delivery
  • Understanding of and interest in the use of communications and learning technologies in health care delivery
  • A self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, comfortable working in a rapidly changing environment
  • Experience working with physicians and other health care professionals
  • Experience in management setting
  • Effective decision making ability
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of the Keewaytinook Okimakanak and other Sioux Lookout Zone communities, sensitivity to geographical and cultural needs of First Nations people
  • Ability to speak Oji-Cree an asset
  • Familiarity with e-mail and the internet is essential

KO Telemedicine offers excellent remuneration and benefits.  Salary will be dependant on qualifications and work experience.
