Communities in Action Fund seeking applications for 2008-09 projects

Applications for this year’s CIAF program are now open and local or provincial not-for-profit organizations are encouraged to apply. This year, the McGunity government is again providing $7.5 million for projects that will help remove barriers to physical activity, said Minister of Health Promotion Margarett Best.
“Our government is providing access to sport and recreation for everyone,” said Best. “By supporting the work of community-based and provincial organizations, we are providing opportunities for all Ontarians to get active.”
The deadline for applications for 2008/09 funding is March 20, 2008.
