Pelican Falls First Nations High School Co-op Club travels to career fair in Montreal

Bonjour

Three KO members are a part of a group of 11 attending an Aboriginal Career Fair in Montreal, QC.

Day 1 of 5, included being inspired by our NAN leadership in Thunder Bay. Deputy Chiefs Fiddler and Waboose shared their insight into the future career needs in the territory at DFC.  The group was hosted by DFC Student Council members, teachers Grace and Tesa Fiddler.

Then the group jetted off to Montreal, QC.

Day 2 (Sunday) of 5, involves touring the Biodome, Olympic Stadium, shopping (of course) and this evening a horse drawn tour of Old Montreal.

The Co-op Club focuses on career awareness and broadening horizons of our NAN Youth.  The club, in its fourth year, has been to Ottawa, Winnipeg, Europe, Yellowknife and this year Montreal.

A North Spirit Lake band member, Stacey Keno says, Its exciting to have the opportunity to come to Montreal for the Blueprint for the Future Career Fair (www.naaf.ca). The fundraising work was worth it, to get here!
