About the Conference

The Ministry of Education, in partnership with Indian and Northern Affairs Canada, is hosting Circle of Light: A First Nation, Métis and Inuit Education Conference from November 26-28, 2007 in Toronto.

The conference will feature two days of plenary sessions, workshops and keynote speakers. Participants will learn about practical tools, strategies and best practices to help educators support the success of Aboriginal students in Ontario.

Who should attend the conference?

The conference is open to educators, education stakeholders and representatives from First Nation, Métis and Inuit communities and organizations.

The number of participants from each organization, school board and school authorities will be limited, in order to give all these organizations the opportunity to send a representative.
