The KO Thunder Bay Reception / Secretary serves the member First Nations by providing administrative support to the staff and management of the KO Thunder Bay office.
Provides reception, clerical and administrative services:
a) Provides reception function for the office by greeting guests in a friendly professional manner and answering phones and inquiries as necessary
b) Provides general office support such as word processing, photocopying, and processing incoming and outgoing mail and faxes
c) Coordinates arrangements for KO Thunder Bay meetings and events by booking appropriate facilities and video conference units
d) Prepares and manages correspondence, reports and documents
e) Orders office and cleaning supplies for KO Thunder Bay office and receives packages and delivers to airport or post office as necessary
f) Conducts errands and performs other general tasks to keep the office running smoothly
g) Other duties as assigned by the Director of Operations
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
a) Grade 12 or equivalent; secretarial training
b) A minimum of 3 years experience in office support or secretarial work
c) Understanding of the cultural needs of Nishnawbe people
d) Ability to speak a First Nations dialect is an asset
e) Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
f) Proficient in computer use (M/S office, especially Word and Excel; email); strong word processing skills
g) Ontario Driver's license G
h) Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (written and oral)
i) Dedication to service excellence
