Flying Over the Severn R.
For the 2003 Elders Trip, group members first flew by chartered Bamadji Air Cessna Caravan aircraft from Ft. Severn to the trip starting point near Weeshinagoo (Beaverstone) on the Atchigo Siipi (Sachigo River). Due to poor weather, it took three days to complete the six flights required to get all people, canoes, food and equipment into the small lake which was the only suitable landing point during this season of extremely low water levels
