EVENT: The Chief and Council of the Lac Seul First Nation and the Kwayaciiwin Education Resource Centre, along with website producers, Garnet Angeconeb and Ashley Wright, invite you to witness the official launch of a new website about the Indian Residential School experience.

WHAT: Part journalism, part oral history, this website allows all Canadians to meet residential school survivor, Garnet Angeconeb, and to hear his life story, in his own words. He tells that story in a 21-minute film; then, the website takes you on a journey through Garnet's life, in a series of short video segments. It's a unique opportunity for people to learn about, and to better understand, the history of the Indian Residential School system and its enduring effects on Aboriginal individuals and communities.

WHO IT'S FOR: This website is for all Canadians, Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal. It aims to educate and enlighten Canadians about our shared history, and to contribute to the discussionabout Canada's evolving relationship with Aboriginal people, with a view to reconciliation.
