Keewaytinook Okimakanak KNET team builds First Nation owned, controlled, accessible cellular service

Keewaytinook Mobile (KM) is now delivering a new innovative cellular/mobile alternative service that supports full access (local calling) across all 20 First Nation community-owned and operated cell sites on the Kuhkenah Network (KO-KNET). Roaming on the TBayTel network (towns, cities and roads across Northwestern Ontario) is also available. Work is underway so roaming on the cross-Canada Rogers network is also available (scheduled to be completed in early spring).

"Staying Positive" describes how KM users are now able to manage their own accounts by maintaining a positive balance to keep their phones working.

The team at KO-KNET is working with each partner First Nation to support each community cell phone user in being able to maintain a positive balance in their phone account. Voucher cards are available in each First Nation and in the Sioux Lookout so users can keep their balances in the positive. First Nation Cell Support staff are able to help community members access their accounts either using their phone or on the web at http://mycellular.knet.ca

Everyone needs to protect their phone and their password so they can keep a positive balance in their account.

So STAY POSITIVE and your First Nation Cell phone service will work for you.
