Keewaywin First Nation is dealing with an over-crowded clinic and is having trouble providing adequate services due to a lack of space. Clinical services are barely working and there is little room for anything else. Community wellness services and programs are suffering as there is no space for confidential case management or counselling and program coordinators have to share desks. The public health room which was once a meeting place for everyone to use and enjoy for meals, exersize and training, is now divided by temporary walls into office space and visiting specialist consult area. Keewaywin First Nation needs a new wellness centre in order to support community members with enhanced community wellness programs.
