PFFNHS students attend Blueprint for the Future conference in Ottawa

A day-by-day report from the nations capital where the PFFNHS representatives are seeing the city and ....

Day 1:  Woke up at 3'ish, somebody remind me why we are doing this again?  The trip went great, some students more nervous than others on the plane.  The AC pilot welcomed PFFNHS Co-op students aboard. We all had a great time at supper, Hard Rock Cafe, then skating on the canal.  Apollo was the only one to skate the 7.8 and back, some of us were simply pleased we could still skate.

Day 2:  We'll Camp Fortune turned Gina and Jon into skiiers.  Darren and Gary have abandoned their 2007 gold medal hopes in snowboarding.  We went to Parliament for lunch with Roger Valley, very great!  There were so many piece of cutlery on our place settings I'm sure we could have all shared a meal togeher.   MP Valley was very down to earth.  Our boys looked very sharp in their suit jackets. We met minister Blondin-Andrews, first aboriginal female MP and aboriginal Cabinet Minister.  The students particularily liked question period in the House  of Commons (especially when the opposition parties started yelling, boring, boring to the Liberals).  I think we were all a bit surprised by the heckling (but with the sponsorship scandal it shouldn't have surprised  us).  Shop, eat and be merry.

Day 3: You'll have to tune in tomorrow for that but I can promise you it'll be worth it.

Thanks KNET for the service,  KO you're the best!
