Subject: Winners for the Elders' Story Telling Contest - June 16, 2011
Hello everyone,
I want to thank everyone for supporting and participating in this fun event. I especially want to thank the Judges who did an excellent job in listening to the stories and deciding who the best storytellers were. A big thank you to Christine for her awesome cooking, I am still waiting for 3:00 pm for my snack – blueberry pie..mmmmm... The health staff women did an excellent job in shopping for the six prizes of healthy foods for the elders.
And not to forget, a great big thank you to KORI, KNet, KOTM, KO Admin, Public Works, and KO Health in sponsoring the prizes. Each department gave a whopping $200.00 each.
Thank you for helping us see the excitement in the Elder’s faces when they heard they had won.
The stories were so funny, I am sorry that the people who don’t speak our language couldn’t appreciate the stories, even if we translate them in English, they lose their humour.
A big, big thank you to the KO Team, especially Gibbet, Lyle and Wesley for helping to make this happen. Miiquetch!!
