Subject: Follow up to Video Conference

Greetings to everyone.

I first want to express my sincere appreciation to everyone for your participation in the discussion leading up to and including yesterday's video conference.  I am grateful for the assistance of His Excellency Ambassodor Edgar Torrez in facilitating the participation of the representatives of the Ministry of Health of Bolivia.  I thank Dra. Rosario Gutierrez for her excellent presentation concerning Mujeres Candelaria.  I want to give special thanks to the people at Knet and KO Telemedicine for facilitating the video conference and for providing an excellent briefing on their operations.  On behalf of all of us, I want to express my gratitude to Dr. Ivar Mendaz for stepping in to provide interepretation both in English and in Spanish.  He certainly brought his excellent skills as a surgeon to attend to the fine details of everyones remarks and to remember and articulate everyone's comments so succinctly and clearly. Finally, I want to say how much I appreciated the interest, support and advice that was provided by the professional advisors and to the Aboriginal Healing Foundation for making their facilities available to us in Ottawa.

I am very pleased that the Government of Bolivia has indicated support in the development of a project with Municipal involvement and that Mujeres Candelaria would be in charge of the project.  This is a very important and welcome outcome of our discussion.  In that regard, I had a conversation with Dra. Rosario Gutierrez today and she and her organization are planning their next steps.  In order to ensure clarity of their intentions, I have asked Dra. Gutierrez to send an email to us in that regard.

Once again, thank you to everyone for your interest, participation and support.

Best regards,

Tony Belcourt, LL.D. (Hon.)
