Fort Severn First Nation co-hosting May 31 online workshop on community use of ICTs

Building Digital Bridges on the Shore of Hudson Bay – Information and Communication Technologies in
Fort Severn First Nation.

Over the past 15 years Fort Severn and other First Nations in Northwestern Ontario have worked with the Keewaytinook Okimakanak (KO) tribal council and strategic partners to build a network of broadband connectivity across the region and beyond. Digital networks support community and social services in health, education and many other areas. Featuring presentations and discussion in person and by videoconference with Fort Severn First Nation community members, representatives from KO, and researchers and guests. Everyone is welcome.

Start time: 1pm Atlantic, 12 noon Eastern, 11am Central, 10am Mountain, 9am Pacific
