Job Summary

The Coordinator will work with KO Telemedicine team and 3 CTC’s as project lead and develop an in-home service plan for the Sioux Lookout Zone and North West Region. 
The Coordinator will develop manuals, training plans, and over see the rollout of the cameras into the communities. The Coordinator will work together with the KO Telemedicine team to promote and integrate the use of the cameras into the existing services and takes the initiative to contact and work with other service providers that may be able to offer services the home. 
Document recommended policies and procedures for the Telemedicine Program along with recognizing key clinical areas that Telemedicine that can expand into for future delivery in the Telemedicine Service Model.

This is a 12 month contract, full time position 5 days per week.
March 31, 2011- March 31-2012

Salary range is dependent upon professional education and work experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

 Nursing Degree or Social Services (community development) diploma or equivalent in work experience.
 Ability to speak Cree, Oji-Cree or Ojibwa a very strong asset.
 Demonstrated ability to animate and co-manage community-based initiatives.
 Strong oral and written communications skills (including report and proposal writing skills).
 Must have knowledge and proven experience in computerized word processing. Competence in a database program(s) a definite asset.
 Knowledge of and commitment to the services provided by Keewaytinook Okimakanak.
 Knowledge of the people, culture, history of Nishnawbe-Aski Nation; in-depth knowledge of the economic climate and business development priorities of the First Nations.
