Invitation to submit an online application for Adobe's Youth Voices competition

Adobe Youth Voices is the Adobe Foundation's signature philanthropy initiative empowering  young people to Create with Purpose. Youth use digital tools to express themselves and issues important to them. Please visit http://www.youthvoices.adobe.com/ to learn more about the program.

All the successful participant organizations will receive:

  • Funding: Up to 2,500USD from the Adobe Foundation to run their local youth projects smoothly and effectively.
  • Software: Adobe’s multimedia software (Photoshop Elements and Premiere) for free as a material of the program.
  • Training: online training to develop skills of multimedia tools and skills of creating media pieces with purpose.
  • Access to resources: plenty of resources for the advanced software skills, international exhibition opportunities, program development training, etc.
  • Network: connections with other participant organizations from many parts of the world with the same area of activities and interests as yours.

Application Guidelines *VERY IMPORTANT*

  • The deadline to submit applications is March 25th, 2011
  • If you are selected you will be expected to submit a completed copy of an excel spreadsheet detailing your available computers and operating systems within 3 days of receiving an admission offer into the program. Please send your completed form to ayv@takingitglobal.org
  • Incomplete application forms will not be considered
  • The entire application process will take about 1 hour to complete
  • Successful applicants will be contacted on a rolling basis

Adobe Youth Voices aims to empower youth in underserved communities around the globe with real-world experiences and 21st century tools to communicate their ideas, exhibit their potential, and take action in their communities.

Launched in June 2006, Adobe Youth Voices is the Adobe Foundation's global signature philanthropy program designed to provide youth in underserved communities with the critical skills they need to become active and engaged members of their communities and the world at large. The Adobe Foundation invests nearly US$7 million per year in the Adobe Youth Voices program, primarily through training, educational resources, and grants. The program also leverages software donations and employee volunteers from Adobe Systems Incorporated.

With a focus on empowering youth, Adobe Youth Voices supports young people in and out of school and encourages the use of cutting-edge multimedia tools to communicate and share their ideas, demonstrate their potential, and take action where they live.

The Adobe Youth Voices global network currently includes more than 500 sites and a large, expanding number of grantees and organizations in 32 countries. Since its inception, Adobe Youth Voices has engaged over 27,000 youth and 1,500 educators in schools and out-of-school programs
